UFO and Alien Celebrities

Written by saucers.info
A history and overview of the extremely profitable space alien entertainment industry.

Following the sensational worldwide coverage of the Roswell Incident by newspapers and magazines in the U.S. and around the world, Hollywood quickly got busy cashing in on the alien and UFO craze by producing countless UFO, alien and space invasion movies at an astonishing rate. Many of these became instant box office hits.

Such was the awareness and interest of the general public that these movies became extremely profitable and continue to be so.

Some of the earliest hits include:
'Earth vs. the Flying Saucers', a 1956 production
'Forbidden Planet', also from 1956
'20 Million Miles to Earth', released in 1957
and let's not forget 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' which was introduced in 1956 and 'I Married a Monster from Outer Space' from 1958, both of which played to sell-out audiences in movie theaters around the country and were later popular drive-in favorites with the teenage crowd.

More modern and full color productions remain popular and are viewed by young and old alike. Some examples are 'H.G. Wells War of the Worlds, made in 2005 - 'The X Files' and of course the various famous 'Star Wars Episodes'.

To date there are several hundred movies about fictional creatures from outer space plus hundreds of television episodes dedicated to alien beings, monsters, UFOs and space exploration that feature weird humanoids and sinister characters from distant galaxies. Classic TV serials such as Star Trek are still being aired worldwide.

Books by the thousands (good and bad) about this controversial and entertaining subject have and are still being written, published and sold.

One must marvel about the imagination and mind set of writers who manage to churn out such extraordinary plots and settings.
