John B., nowliving in FarNorth Queensland, and friendweretravelling byvehicle headingtowardsWindsorNSW.
Near the Springwood railway station they took a left hand turn and then have a 20 minute period unaccounted for.
They have had no recall since the event of what might have transpired.

Aged 55, a man, upon awakening, found some small spots of blood on his pillow for which he could not account.
His wife noted what appeared to be a small "needle marK at the top of his spine. However, insect bites could not
be discounted.

A retired woman, not certain whether she was dreaming or not, saw a "creatureZ on the balcony of her apartment.
She described it as the size of man but looking like a giant "bee." I n the background was a little white bubble shaped
object. Telepathic communication occurred overquite a lengthy period. This all finished; shethen felt as if shewoke
up, got out of bed and went to the window where she saw an unusual object in the sky. There was also a jumbo
jet around at the same time. The object was like a square within a square and flying very fast, bigger than a star,
travelling west to east, bright white in colour. The observation lasted only for a few seconds.

Michel and Lena Desmarquet live near Babinda. One night Michel arose and, as if directed by an external force,
wrote a note for his wife telling her he would be away for 10 days. He went out into the garden and found the grass
and then the walls of his house were undulating. He thought he had become ill.
Suddenly he felt lifted from the ground and saw his house below him. Then a being was there. Some 3m high, and
looking like a tall human blonde it talked to him in French. He thought he must be having a nightmare. The being
was called Thao, who turned out to be an hermaphrodite. Thao talked to him and explained a number of things.
There was a 70m blue/grey, shimmering sphere with no windows, doors or anything else present. He was lifted
from the ground into the sphere and entered a "room" of some kind. The intensity of light inside was so strong that
they had to give him a mask to wear.
During the experience he was taken to a planet named Thiacouba where he was toured around and told many
things, which he has documented in a book due to be published in March 1993.
He was returned home to find his wife distressed and had to convince her of what had happened to him.

A 32 year old man rang to talk about a series of experiences. Between age 8-15 he slept in an old bus on his parents
property. At night on several occasions he found entities sitting on the end of his bed. They were greyish blue in
skin colour. They had skinny arms and bodies.

Aged 16, Mr Eric B. was riding his bike on one side of the town at night. Suddenly there was a blank period and
he next was aware of being on the other side of town with no idea of how he had gotten there. He had no injuries.
Later when the barber was cutting his hair a little O' shaped scar was found on his head for which he could not
account.

Nick can recall flashbacks to a time as a youngster that he watched a UFO and a being. 15-16 years ago he
experienced mental communication. Beings took him somewhere to teach him things.

During the night a woman saw 5 "men in blackN outside her unit, after dogs woke her up. She heard a high pitched
chattering apparently coming from the men. Theywerewearingwhat shedescribed asall overwet suitslikedivers
and were normal human height. One of them turned round and she received a telepathic message to go back to
sleep, which she did.

beings in his house, and other episodes.

A caller from the Atherton table lands, called Hazel, related that, whilst in Sydney suburb of Epping, she was in bed
restless and went to the outside loo. There was a large, silvery UFO present. A ramp led to it and she went inside
the object, with the ramp closing behind her. Next day she had only vague recollections of what happened.
However, upon seeing the movie CE3 some fragments returned. When she thought about the episode she got
headaches. Inside the UFO were 4 beings. There was communication. She felt happy about it- a wonderful
experience. She had a very unhappy life on Earth and was given the choice of staying here or going with them.
She decided to stay because of her children. The next moment she came to in her kitchen and went to bed. She
also had childhood experiences. Aged 44 years, vague figures. Saw 3 versions of herself. Figures holding one
version, another version was in bed and whiist the third version was observing it all. Also in 1964 woke from sleep
to find whole room lit up and little figures by the bed. Grey hoods with no visible faces.

On a number of occasions Ken T. has seen UFOs. Firstly, there were sightings over Elwood where upon him going
outside he saw lights in the sky and has some bizarre memories where he is unable to recall whether the lights were
inside or outside the house. Later he heard a whirring sound, like a low flying helicopter. He looked out the window
and saw an obJect at close range over the house opposite. lt had a red dome underneath. lt left silently. Later again,
at 0100hrs on a Saturday morning, there was a sound like a crack of thunder and he saw a silver/grey oval with
lights on. Finally, early another morning he awoke to feel something brushing his body but upon waking up nothing
was there.

mangroves when he watched as an unusual light approached coming up a creek. It got brighter and closer and
he decided to leavethe area. However, he had no recollection of making it backtothe campwherethefamilywas
staying. Later he experienced memories and "visions" of "aliens." Over the last 30 years a whole amount of
information has emerged.

Two women were travelling by car when they sighted what looked like a strange formation of clouds in the sky.
Suddenly it was 35 minutes later and they found themselves on a strange road. A miraculous cure for a back
condition was said to have happened to one woman.

A bluelight approached two people out shooting. It resolved into a blue bullet like shapewith a rim around its centre,
estimated as a whole to be 20m tall by 6m wide. It lit up the surrounding area. Just before landing,200m from the
witnesses, it ejected a string of blue, round lights which remained Just abovethe UFO. One man who had a 12volt
motorbike battery on his backto powerthe spotlight, noticed the batterywaswarming his backand bubbling. They
heard a "singing" type noise from the object before deciding to flee the scene. On arriving home, the man carrying
the battery found a 15cm burn hole in his singlet.

Witnessto UFORA92212 plus daughterwas out shooting, when a brightlight approached from the north. Theylay
on the ground as a huge, oval shape, with white lights around its edge passed overhead at low level. The object
had many lights on its base and a dome shape on the top. Size estimated as 150-200m across. The UFO lefl, so
did witnesses in their car. Whilst travelling away the object reappeared to follow the car before banking away.

Witness pulled out onto a deserted highway on their way home. A bright light source shone into the car. There
seemed to bea band of rectangularcreamy/whitelight behind and abovethe road. The sourceofthelightappeared
to be rapidly approaching when a car came in the other direction. The light source was no longer there.

A Launceston resident and his family noticed a bright light source atop Mt Arthur (1187m), some 20km to the north-
east. A blue beam was seen projecting to the north, then, soon afler, the light source rose vertically and moved
away to the north-east and was gone in seconds.

A man saw a large orange light overtheAdelaide hills (West), travelling towards East. Then he saw a second orange
light, which accelerated and caught up wlth first light. Both continued East with a wobbly trajectory. Much brighter
than Venus and no flickering. Dissappeared behind roof tops.

fl. Three white lights underneath, one in front, two at rear. No sound. Silver reflection when caught by sunlight. After
overhead, began climb and continued until out of sight. Duration app. 2 min.

A man called to say he was woken by his 5 years old son who was very upset. He claims to have seen a tall WbeingW
with long thin legs, no arms, big head, and colours coming out of it, standing in the lounge room. The being growled
and the child became very upset and began crying waking his father.

A 49 yr old man and three other witnesses saw an orange light moving across the sky from NW Elev. 80 Deg. to
SE Elev.10 Deg. The light was steady and below clouds. There was no sound. Duration 8 min. Dissappeared over
Mt Lofty, possibly going into clouds.

While being driven, as a passenger along South Road, a man saw what appeared to be a flat, translucent orange,
"doorway" like obJect hanging in the air above the road, several hundred metres ahead. The obJect appeared to
be at an angle to the line of sight. Duration 3 sec. The object just dissappeared.

Following my previous research into Department of Defence (RAAF) files held by the Australian Archives, l have
submitted a request for copies of papers from the year 1962. Requests usually take some 34 months to process
before you receive the documents.
ABDUCTION RESEARCH
Australian abduction cases uncovered during the UFORA Hotline telephone service are currently being investi-
gated by UFORA associates. lt is hoped to bring you the results of some of these in the next Digest.
CATALOGUES
A review has been undertaken of the currently available UFORA catalogues on various aspects ofthe phenomenon
to bring the case abstracts contained therein up to the end of 1992. TMCECAT a new publication detailing
Australian ground effect cases is still with Bill Chalker who is editing it and including additional cases. A new
catalogue PHOTOCATis being prepared byVlad Godic. This onewill setout abstracts of photographic caseswhich
have been looked into over the years. The purpose of all our cataloguing work is to ensure that our record of
interesting Australian UFO events is kept right up to date, both for our own research and for overseas researchers
to access.
"GOOD" AUSTRALIAN CASES
What would you regard as a "good" UFO case? What would you send to someone overseas who asked you for
copies of documentsonAustralia'sFbest" UFO events? In orderto make yourlife alittle easier, l have been preparing
a resource pack of documents of representative Australian cases. This pack will possibly run to some 300pages
and cover some 12-15 or so cases from 1954 to date. Publication details when ready for sale.
