According to statistics, millions of people in all parts of the world have claimed close encounters with or abductions and physical examinations by aliens. Are we to accept this as factual or is it just a bunch of hoopla created by people who seek the limelight and bask in sensationalism? Most all of these alleged abductions include similar scenarios such as groups of non-humans performing physical and medical exams and experiments. Most victims report being paralyzed and then transported to an examination room where unspeakable things are done to them and subsequently returned unharmed to their beds. Others claim to be stopped on the road by a UFO and the occupants 'beam' them up into the alien craft to be 'operated' on. Interestingly enough, nearly all claim loss of time and partial loss of memory. None have ever returned from their episodes with so much as single alien hair or other solid evidence. One of the most famous abduction cases is the story of Betty and Barney Hill which allegedly occurred in September of 1961. According to the couple, they stopped when an alien craft complete with little guys appeared before them. Seeing this, they hightailed it out of there. Their story later changed to include recollections of being aboard the UFO. This was after several sessions with a psychiatrist. Another much publicized abduction case involved one Travis Walton during 1975 who is said to have disappeared for 5 days. Upon his return to 'earth' he claims to have been on a spaceship occupied by small humanoid creatures with large eyes. Yet another weird encounter allegedly happened to one Whitley Strieber during the Christmas holidays in 1985. Apparently the victim was vacationing in a cabin when one night he was awakened by a strange sound. He has no definite memories of what happened after he awoke outside in the woods near his cabin. Even without any tangible evidence whatsoever, apparently all victims truly believe they have been abducted by aliens. |
